Dan Goggins was a two-sport star playing both football and baseball under the watchful eye of USF Hall of Fame coach Gordie Gillespie.  Goggins was a three-year starter at quarterback for the Fighting Saints and a three-time NAIA All-District 20 first-team selection. While directing a run-oriented offense during his years at St. Francis, Goggins did put together some impressive passing statistics. He owns three of the four longest touchdown passes in school history, including the longest scoring toss of 95 yards to Mike Larsen against Hillsdale (MI) in 1987. His career passing numbers include 297 completions in 603 attempts (.493) for 4,558 yards and 32 touchdowns. He led the Saints to a 19-10 record in his three years as a starter.  On the baseball diamond, Goggins compiled a .263 career batting average with 11 home runs and 116 RBI. He was a key member of Saints' teams that placed second in 1989 and third in 1990 at the NAIA World Series. Goggins graduated from Minooka High School prior to attending St. Francis.
