Athletic Training

Athletic Training

The mission of the USF Sports Medicine staff is first and foremost the care of the student-athlete. USF sponsors 22 sports and we are committed to the total well being of all the student-athletes participating in these sports. We strive to provide the highest quality of medical care within the limits of our resources, minimizing liability and maximizing the playing time and quality of performance in any given venue. We serve as liaisons between coaches, parents, doctors, athletes, and administrators.

The USF certified athletic training staff consists of two full-time athletic trainers. Our staff athletic trainers are responsible for ensuring that quality of care is provided to all student-athletes at USF. We are skilled in the latest techniques of prevention, care, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries. We also manage administrative duties including medical referrals, insurance billing, student development, pre-participation physical exams, and public relations.
