GREENWOOD, Ind. -- Four members of the University of St. Francis women's cross country and track & field programs have garnered recognition as College Sports Communicators (CSC) NAIA Academic All-District selections. Announced as team selections for the first time in their careers were
Patrycja Mrowca,
Nicole Vollrath,
Giselle Ramos and
Gianna Trenter.
The award recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. To be eligible, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore both athletically and academically and boast no less than a 3.50 cumulative grade point average, while performing at an elite athletic level. Academic All-District honorees are considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America ballot.
Mrowca wrapped up her sophomore season by claiming Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) all-league status in outdoor track & field for the first time this past spring as a member of the 4x800-meter relay team.
Mrowca's other career accomplishments include being a part of the 2024 cross country team that placed 20th at the NAIA Championships.
Along with her first career All-District recognition, Mrowca is also a first-time All-Academic choice in the league in both cross country and track & field. On the national level, she gained NAIA Scholar-Athlete distinction for the first time in each sport, as well.
Mrowca is working on her Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. She has been a Dean's List honoree in each of her four semesters thus far at USF while maintaining a perfect 4.00 GPA.
In her first two seasons with the Saints, Vollrath has already secured two all-conference selections in cross country as well as three in track & field. For the latter sport, she was all-CCAC on the indoor side once in the Mile Run after claiming the individual champion title in 2025. At the CCAC Outdoor Championships, she was awarded all-conference accolades twice as part of the 2025 and 2026 4x800-meter relay units.
In cross country, Vollrath was a part of the 2024 USF team that advanced to the NAIA Championships, highlighted by the program's 20th place finish. In 2025, she qualified for the NAIA Championships individually after a sixth-place finish at the CCAC Championships meet.
Named to the Dean's list in each of her first four semesters at USF while pursuing her degree in Recreation & Sport Management with a perfect 4.00 GPA, Vollrath, was also recognized as a NAIA Scholar-Athlete and CCAC All-Academic honoree in both sports for the first time this year.
Ramos and Trenter also have produced productive results throughout their respective careers.
Ramos, a two-year member of both the cross country and track & field teams, just missed out on all-conference accolades this past winter at the 2026 CCAC Indoor Championships with a fourth place finish as a member of the 4x800-meter relay team. A sophomore majoring in Political Science, Ramos also collected NAIA Scholar-Athlete and CCAC All-Academic recognition for the first time this year in each sport.
Trenter, a five-year member of the track & field program, completed her career this past spring, highlighted by her first All-District recognition and her fourth NAIA Scholar Athlete and third CCAC All-Academic honor.
The graduate senior, who earned her Biology undergraduate degree from USF last May before gaining her Master's degree in Health Administration this past year, is a two-time outdoor national qualifier as a part of the 2022 4x400-meter relay and 2023 4x100-meter relay units. She has accumulated a total of three all-conference accolades, with two coming as part of the 2022 4x400-meter relay and 2023 4x100-meter relay indoor units and one on the outdoor side as part of the 2023 4x100-meter relay team.
Trenter is a four-time NAIA Scholar-Athlete and CCAC All-Academic honoree in track & field and has earned Dean's Lists honors in nine of her ten semesters while at USF.
The CSC Academic All-America program separately recognizes at-large honorees in four divisions – NCAA I, II and III and NAIA. Academic All-America honorees will be announced later this month.
