ST. LOUIS, Mo./NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- Competing in the first two meets of the outdoor season over the weekend, the University of St. Francis women's track team saw one individual compete at the Washington University (Mo.) Distance Carnival on Thursday, while thirteen additional Saints competed at the North Central First Chance Invitational on Saturday.
Dyannara Franco turned in the second-fastest time of NAIA competing institutions in the 5,000-meter event at the Distance Carnival. Her recorded time was 17:30.03.
In the First Chance Invite,
Patrycja Mrowca led the USF contingent with her eighth-place finish in the 800-meter race. She ran a personal best time of 2:30.46 in the event, finishing 8.45 seconds behind the first-place finisher.
Dianna Mascote placed 11th overall with a time of 2:31.96, while
Nicole Vollrath clocked in at 2:37.03 in 23rd place.
Competing in the 100-meter and 200-meter was
Regan Furmankiewicz. The junior posted a final time of 13.28 in the 100m (16th place), and a personal best time of 27.41 in the 200m (12th place).
Rounding out the top finishes were
Jaden Hart and
Brooklyn Stuckey, who competed in the discus throw/hammer throw/shot put and high jump events, respectively. Hart placed 11th overall in the discus throw (28.02m), 15th in the hammer throw (34.00m) and 15th in the shot put (10.05m). Stuckey, meanwhile, placed 14th overall among 30 competitors in the high jump with a final height of 1.29m.
