NAPERVILLE, Ill. --
Carmen Solis recorded two individual Top 10 finishes at the North Central College Heenan Invite over the weekend to lead the University of St. Francis women's indoor track & field program.
Solis finished third place overall in the 800-meter run, where she competed against 25 other runners. Solis set a PR with her time, clocking in with a mark of 2:26.17.
Evita Martinez (2:29.05),
Dyannara Franco (2:30.02) and
Nicole Vollrath also placed in the Top 10 in the event, with Martinez and Franco finishing within a second of each other for fifth and seventh places, respectively. Vollrath clocked in with a time of 2:33.14 for ninth place.
Solis was also a Top 10 finisher of 41 competitors in the mile run. The junior authored a PR time of 5:11.01 to finish in eighth place.
Other individual Top 10 finishes on the day included
Lauren Manning (7th place, 1:06.88),
Lilia Hacker (8th place, 1:06.95) and
Jaqueline Tecuanhuehue (10th place, 1:07.23) in the 400-meter run,
Patrycja Mrowca (6th place, 11:18.96) and
Dianna Mascote (7th place, 11:38.43) in the 3000-meter run, and
Jaden Hart (5th place, 12.58m) in the weight throw.
Rounding out the Top 10 Saint competitors were Martinez, Solis, Franco and Vollrath, who competed as a team in the 4x400-meter relay. The quartet placed second overall amongst five competing teams with a final time of 4:21.46.
