Saints Place Twelfth at National Catholic Invite

NOTRE DAME, Ind. -- The University of St. Francis women's cross country team raced in its second meet of the 2025 season on Friday afternoon at the University of Notre Dame (Ind.) National Catholic Invite and came away with a 12th-place effort in the 13-team field.  One Saint, freshman Isabel De la Hoz Camiroaga, posted a personal record in the event.

USF, which netted a team score of 312 points, posted one runner in the top half of all competitors on the 5K layout at Burke Golf Course.  The field consisted of 131 runners from eight NCAA I and two NCAA II universities, with St. Francis (Ill.), University of Saint Francis (Ind.) and Mount Mercy University (Iowa) being the lone representatives competing from NAIA institutions.  Notre Dame earned the team title with its score of 15.

The Saints, who are currently ranked No. 22 in the NAIA Coaches' Poll, were paced by Nicole Vollrath's 60th-place time of 20:15.5.

Along with Vollrath and De la Hoz Camiroaga, Aaralyn Martinez, Patrycja Mrowca, and Dianna Mascote all placed among USF's top five spots on the finisher's list.  Martinez's time of 20:36.3 claimed 70th place, while De la Hoz Camiroaga finished with a time of 20:55.0 affording her the 82nd placement.   Mrowca was the 97th competitor to cross the finish line at 21:30.2, and Mascote clocked in at 21:47.7 in claiming the 103rd slot.

The meet's individual champion was Arianne Olson of Notre Dame, who ran a 16:35.8 time to edge out her teammate Mary Bonner Dalton's second-place time of 16:36.1.
