KANSAS CITY, Mo./CHICAGO -- Four members of the University of St. Francis women's cross country team have gained honors for their success both on and off the course this past fall with the announcements of the NAIA Scholar-Athletes and Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference All-Academic Team for 2025.

Claiming both recognitions for the first time were sophomores Patrycja Mrowca, Giselle Ramos, and Nicole Vollrath.  Junior Marianne Gerona, a Nursing major, claimed the duet of awards for the second straight year.

Ramos is working on her Bachelor's in Radiography.

Mrowca and Vollrath were two of only six runners among the 48 individuals dotting the league list to boast perfect 4.00 cumulative grade point averages.  Mrowca is majoring in Elementary Education, while Vollrath is pursuing her bachelor's degree in Recreation & Sport Management.

To be nominated for the CCAC award, a student-athlete must have been enrolled at his school for a minimum of one academic year, have completed at least 30 semester hours and boast no less than a 3.25 cumulative grade point average.

In order to receive NAIA Scholar-Athlete status, nominees must be a sophomore or above in academic standing, must have been in attendance at the nominating institution for one full academic year and must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher at the time of the nomination deadline.
