CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa -- University of St. Francis' Allison Ramsey ran away with the individual meet title and led the NAIA No. 11-ranked Fighting Saints women's cross country team to a fourth-place team finish at the Mount Mercy University (Iowa) Seminole Valley Stampede on Saturday.
The Saints totaled 95 points, which placed them behind NCAA II Lewis University (66 points), NAIA No. 22-ranked Aquinas College (Mich.) (74) and No. 21 Mount Mercy (84).
Ramsey led a nine-person USF contingent, which all placed in the top half of the 139 total competitors. She boasted a personal record with a time of 22:11.2 on the 6K course, besting her previous PR of 23:02.0 by 50.8 seconds. The next-closest challenger was better than eight seconds behind.
Finishing second for the Saints was freshman Evita Martinez, using her time of 23:18.0 to place 16th overall. Two spots in back of Martinez was Riley Mach, who crossed the finish line in 23:22.3.Â
Dyannara Franco posted a time of 23:42.2, while Nicole Vollrath and Aaralyn Martinez finished back-to-back with times of 23:52.5 and 23:56.4, respectively, to round out USF's top six.

The Saints will have three weeks of rest before they compete again on Saturday, Oct. 26 when they travel to Grand Rapids, Mich. to compete in the NAIA Great Lakes Challenge hosted by Aquinas. The meet is slated to begin at 10 am.
