CHICAGO --- For the second year in a row, University of St. Francis is represented by Shannon Smith on the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference women's golf honor roll.  The league office made the 2023 awards announcement on Thursday.

Smith turned in the eighth-best average (86.75) among all CCAC golfers in 2023 to claim second-team all-conference plaudits for the second consecutive year.  She also fell just short of being the CCAC Tournament medalist, dropping a one-hole playoff to CCAC Women's Golfer of the Year Hannah Kilbane of Saint Xavier University.

Smith's performance at the CCAC Tournament was one of four Top Ten efforts on the season for the senior.  She also turned in runner-up finishes at Saint Xavier's Battle at the Creek (April 8) and the Judson University Invite (April 11).
