WEST DUNDEE, Ill. --- For the second time this spring, University of St. Francis women's golfer
Shannon Smith has earned a runner-up finish, this time at the Judson University Invite on Tuesday.
Smith recorded an 80 playing as an individual to tie Elmhurst University's Regan Bobich for second place. Claiming individual medalist honors was Carthage College's Alina Brindza, who finished six-over-par with her 77.
Also scoring for St. Francis on Tuesday was
Ella Oakley, who shot a 100 to tie for 29th place. A total of 57 golfers made up the field.
Carthage captured the meet title. USF did not field enough players to earn a team score.
The Saints compete in the Bethel University (Ind.) Pilot Spring Invitational on Friday and Saturday. Â
