WEST DUNDEE, Ill. --- The University of St. Francis women's golf team sent two representatives to the Judson University Fall Invitational at Randall Oaks Golf Club on Monday.
Shannon Smith and
Taylor Petz both battled through less than ideal conditions with a steady light rain falling for much of the day. Smith came out as USF's top golfer, finishing tied for 13th place with an 88.
Petz recorded a 109.
Elmhurst University won the event with a team score of 329, or 18 strokes better than second-place Lake Forest College. The Bluejay program also claimed individual medalist honors with Taylor Fuchs' 79. She eclipsed Trinity Christian College's Caitlyn Parrish, who had the same eight-over-par score,  on a tiebreaker.
Notes: The Saints are back in action on Friday and Saturday when they compete in the Olivet Nazarene University Bill Johnson Fall Invitational at Kankakee Elks Country Club. Â
