ANGOLA, Ind. ---
Ana Mendoza Pineda headlined the University of St. Francis women's indoor track & field team's performance at the Trine University (Ind.) Sean Brady Invitational on Saturday. The meet was the first one of the second semester for the Saints.
Pineda captured the 1,000-meter event over 14 other competitors by crossing the finish line in 3:02.39. Teammate
Allison Ramsey was two spots back in third place with her time of 3:08.62.
Mara Bruno also produced points for USF, doing so in two separate events. She placed fifth in the 200-meter dash (26.65 seconds) and sixth in the 60-meter dash (8.04 seconds).

Emerson Colins was right on Bruno's heels in the latter event. She placed seventh, finishing in 8.06 seconds.
The Saints totaled 25 points on the day to place ninth among 13 schools. Purdue University Fort Wayne captured the meet title with its 141 points.
USF is back in action on Friday when it competes in the North Central College Snow Day Invitational.
