NAPERVILLE, Ill. --- Led by
Teghan Tillman's first-place finish, seven different members of the University of St. Francis women's indoor track & field team scored at Friday night's North Central College Snow Day Invitational. As a team, the Saints totaled 50 points to finish in fifth place.
Tillman captured the high jump event with her personal best mark of 5 feet, 4.25 inches.
The Saints added three runner-up finishes, including two from
Mara Bruno. Bruno's performances came in the 200 meter dash (26.39 seconds) and the long jump (16-10.5). USF's other second place finish came from
Claire Roberts in the triple jump, where she registered a distance of 33-1.25.
Roberts also scored in the 400 meter dash, placing sixth with a time of 1:06.75.
In the 60 meter hurdles, St. Francis had two of the top finishers in
Alyssa Dolan and
Gianna Trenter. Dolan placed second (9.67 seconds) with Trenter finishing sixth (10.27).
Shyasia Baker made her mark in the 60-meter dash, placing fifth with her time of 8.33 seconds, while
Maylee Ang-Henrikson joined Bruno among the scorers in the 200 meter dash. Ang-Henrikson ran a time of 28.26 seconds to place seventh.
Host North Central won the six team event with its 153.1-point total.
