ANGOLA, Ind. --- The University of St. Francis women's indoor track & field team finished right in the middle of the pack with its 25 point count at the Trine University (Ind.) Sean Brady Alumni Invitational on Saturday. A total of 11 teams made up the field.
Mara Bruno accounted for ten of the points with a pair of fourth place finishes. She ran a time of 27 seconds in the 200-meter dash, while recording a distance of 17 feet, four inches in the long jump.
USF's nextbest placements came from
Veronica Navarrete and
Rosemary Ponce, both of whom produced fifth place efforts. Navarrete ran a 3:14.52 in the 1,000-meter event, while Ponce landed a 32 foot, 8.25 distance in the triple jump.
Claire Roberts was right behind Ponce with a 31-8 in the triple jump, while
Alexia Bibakis placed seventh in the 1,000-meter race finishing in 3:16.89.
Indiana Tech captured the meet title with 134.5 total points.
