ALLENDALE, Mich. --- The University of St. Francis women's indoor track & field team made a strong first impression at its season-opening meet on Friday with four runners hitting "A" standard marks at the Grand Valley State University (Mich.) Holiday Open.
All four NAIA Nationals qualifying marks came in the 5,000-meter event highlighted by
Sabrina Baftiri's time of 17:07.13, which captured her heat. Right behind in the same heat was
Laisha Corona at 17:08.40.
Also qualifying were
Katherine Bakken and
Daly Galloway. Bakken posted a time of 17:37.41 with Galloway at 17:50.73.
Eastern Michigan University captured the meet by totaling 140.7 points.
