KANSAS CITY, Mo./CHICAGO -- A trio of University of St. Francis men's tennis players garnered top academic honors when the NAIA announced its Scholar-Athletes and the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference released its All-Academic Team for the 2026 men's tennis season on Wednesday.
Earning recognition on both fronts were seniors
Jedriel Bondoc and
Justin Joseph. Bondoc secured his spot on each team for the third time in his collegiate career, while Joesph did so for the second time. Bondoc is a Nursing major with Joseph also seeking a degree in Nursing.
Those two were joined by
Jack O'Donnell on the 32-member CCAC squad. O'Donnell, a sophomore majoring in Information Technology, earned the league accolades for the first time in his career.
To be nominated for the CCAC award, a student-athlete must have been enrolled at her school for a minimum of one academic year, have completed at least 30 semester hours and boast no less than a 3.25 cumulative grade point average.
In order to receive NAIA Scholar-Athlete status, nominees must be a sophomore or above in academic standing, must have been in attendance at the nominating institution for one full academic year and must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher at the time of the nomination deadline.
