LOCKPORT, Ill. -- NAIA No. 8-ranked Holy Cross College ran its season record to 9-2 with a 2-0 Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference decision over the University of St. Francis men's tennis team on Saturday afternoon.
The Fighting Saints (0-6, 0-3 CCAC) and Holy Cross began the matchup in singles play competition with the guests capturing wins in four matches at Nos. 1, 3, 5, 6 to end the contest early with a score of 4-0 without doubles play needing to be completed.
Holy Cross won its first two matches by forfeit at Nos. 5-6 before the guests completed their day with matching 6-0, 6-0 wins at Nos. 1 and 3.
