Ramsey, Fleming Procure College Sports Communicators All-District Women’s Track & Field Honors

GREENWOOD, Ind. -- Two members of the University of St. Francis women's track & field program have garnered recognition as 2024-25 College Sports Communicators (CSC) NAIA Academic All-District selections.  Announced as team selections were Allison Ramsey and Riley Fleming, both first-time recipients.

The award recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the track and in the classroom.  To be eligible, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore both athletically and academically and boast no less than a 3.50 cumulative grade point average, while performing at an elite athletic level.  Academic All-District honorees are considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America ballot.

Ramsey qualified for the NAIA Track & Field Championships 11 times covering seven different events over the past five years.  She captured NAIA All-America honors five times, including three times in the 4x800 both indoor and outdoor.  She was also an All-America selection in the distance medley relay event as well as the 1,000-meter race.

Ramsey closed out her cross country career by securing her first NAIA All-America honor in the sport with an 18th-place finish at the NAIA National Championships this past fall.  As a team, USF placed 20th.  She also acquired all-league honors after finishing third among 85 runners at the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) Championships, marking her fifth such career honor.

Ramsey was a two-time all-conference selection at the CCAC Indoor Track & Field Championships in February, as well, highlighted by her first-place finish in the 3,000-meter run and her second-place showing in the 1,000-meter race.  Her other accomplishments this past year included qualifying for the NAIA Indoor Championships in both the distance medley relay and 1,000-meter race.

For her career, Ramsey qualified for the NAIA Cross Country Championships five times, including as a member of the 2020 team that placed first in the nation.  She also was a six-time conference champion in track & field, winning the indoor 3,000-meter in 2025 as well as the mile run in 2023 and 2024, the outdoor 4x800 relay in 2021 and 2022 and the 1,500-meter race in 2023.  In total, she was named all-conference in track & field 16 times.

In total, Ramsey was a 21-time CCAC all-conference selection and six-time NAIA All-American between the three sports.

Ramsey, who is currently working on her Master's degree in Social Work after earning her undergraduate degree in Psychology, was a four-time all-academic choice in the league in both cross country and track & field.  On the national level, she gained NAIA Scholar-Athlete distinction four times in each sport, as well.  Along with those accolades, Ramsey was also a Dean's List honoree in all 10 of her semesters at USF.

Fleming concluded her career as a two-time all-conference selection in cross country and a one-time all-league honoree in track & field.  She was a part of two straight USF cross country teams that advanced to the NAIA Championships, including being the highest USF finisher on the 2023 team that placed 7th in the nation.  The program also finished 20th this past fall.

In track, Fleming secured all-conference honors in 2024 after placing third overall in the indoor 3,000-meter run and was a two-time NAIA National Championships qualifier in the indoor 5,000-meter and outdoor 10,000-meter runs.

At the conference level this past season, she earned all-league recognition in cross country by placing 13th overall among 85 total competitors in helping the Saints to a second-place finish.

Named to the Dean's list in each of her four semesters while completing her Master's in Social Work earlier this month, Fleming was recognized as a NAIA Scholar-Athlete in both cross country and track and earned similar plaudits with recognition on the conference all-academic team in both sports, as well.

The CSC Academic All-America program separately recognizes track & field honorees in four divisions – NCAA I, II and III and NAIA.  Academic All-America honorees will be announced later this month.
