GREENWOOD, Ind. -- Three members of the University of St. Francis women's bowling program have garnered recognition as 2024-25 College Sports Communicators (CSC) NAIA Academic All-District selections. Announced as women's at-large team selections were
Estrella De la Rosa,
Lindsey Prosperi and
Karley Mason.
The award recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the lanes and in the classroom. To be eligible, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore both athletically and academically and boast no less than a 3.50 cumulative grade point average, while performing at an elite athletic level. Academic All-District honorees are considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America ballot.
De la Rosa, a Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) first-team selection this past winter, finished the regular season seventh overall in the league with her 189.7 average. She recorded a quartet of Top 15 percent efforts and knocked down 200-plus pins in 10 of 39 games. The senior's best single-game showing came at the WHAC Jackson Open (Sept. 28), where she totaled 244 pins knocked down. That eventually led to a sixth-place finish among 127 competitors. Her best overall average of the year came at the WHAC Michigan Open (Dec. 7), where she posted a 200.7 reading over a three-game span.
An Accounting major who graduated last month, De la Rosa was a three-time NAIA Scholar-Athlete as well as a WHAC All-Academic selection this past winter. She was also named to the Dean's List in seven of her eight semesters at USF.
A two-year member of the St. Francis program, Prosperi appeared in seven of 10 varsity tournaments during the 2024-25 season. This past winter, she averaged a 182.8 mark at the varsity level with her best performance of the year coming at the Jackson Open (Sept. 28), where she bowled at a 191.5 clip.
The award comes on top of Prosperi claiming NAIA Scholar-Athlete and WHAC All-Academic recognition honors for the first time this winter. An English major, she is a Dean's List recipient in each of her four semesters at the university.
Rounding out the list of honorees and joining De la Rosa and Prosperi in receiving her first all-district honors was Mason. The senior appeared in eight of 10 varsity tournaments during the 2024-25 campaign. This past season, she averaged a 185.4 mark on the varsity front with her best showing of the year coming at the Kegel/ISBPA Midwest Classic (Jan. 18-19), where she bowled to a 213.0 average and fired a season-best single-game round of 246.
A recent graduate earning her degree in Psychology, Mason is a three-time academic honoree at the NAIA level and one-time all-league academic award recipient. She earned Dean's List honors in all eight of her semesters at USF.
The CSC Academic All-America program separately recognizes at-large honorees in four divisions – NCAA I, II and III and NAIA. Academic All-America honorees will be announced later this month.
