KANSAS CITY, Mo./CHICAGO -- A duo of University of St. Francis women's tennis players garnered top academic honors when the NAIA announced its Scholar-Athletes and the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference released its All-Academic Team for the 2024 men's tennis season on Wednesday.
Earning recognition on both fronts were juniors
Anna Bintsarovskaya and
Heather Heintz. Both women secured their spots on each team for the second time in their collegiate careers. Bintsarovskaya is a Computer Science major with Heintz seeking a degree in Mathematics with certification in Secondary Education.
To be nominated for the CCAC award, a student-athlete must have been enrolled at her school for a minimum of one academic year, have completed at least 30 semester hours and boast no less than a 3.25 cumulative grade point average.
In order to receive NAIA Scholar-Athlete status, nominees must be a sophomore or above in academic standing, must have been in attendance at the nominating institution for one full academic year and must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher at the time of the nomination deadline.
