ORLANDO, Fla. -- The University of St. Francis Dance Team turned in a stellar performance this past weekend at the 2025 College Classic National Championships in Orlando, Fla., earning national recognition with a second-place finish in the NAIA Jazz division and a fifth-place finish in NAIA Hip Hop.

Competing against seven programs from across the country, the Fighting Saints delivered captivating routines in jazz and hip hop, as well as overall team performance categories.  In the jazz grouping, St. Francis secured second place with a final score of 83.54, trailing only Avila University (Mo.), who claimed the national title with an 89.96.  The Saints edged out third-place Graceland University (Iowa) by 2.84 points in a tightly contested division.

In the hip hop category, USF continued its strong showing, finishing fifth with a score of 81.26.  The team placed less than one point behind Concordia University (Mich.) (82.02) and national champion Avila University (89.88), further cementing its place among the top NAIA dance programs in the country.

The Saints took home sixth-place honors in Team Performance, recording a final score of 81.00.  Dordt University (Iowa) were crowned national champions in the division with a mark of 86.70, slightly edging out Baker by 0.54 points.
