COLUMBIA, Mo. -- The University of St. Francis dance team brought home its first title of the 2026 season when it knocked off five other squads in the first of two competitions at the Columbia College (Mo.) Cougar Classic. The Saints earned a runner-up nod in the second round.
St. Francis edged out host Columbia for the title. The two teams were the only ones among the six competing to hit the 80-point threshold. Head coach
Alexandra Whittenhall's squad totaled 83.88 points to Columbia's 82.71.
In the second round, the two programs flip-flopped placements, despite USF landing its highest scoring of the campaign. The Saints posted a score of 85.92 points to Columbia's 86.04.
