SEWARD, Neb. -- The University of St. Francis competitive dance team produced a perfect day on Saturday by claiming a pair of wins at the Concordia University (Neb.) Day of Duals. USF knocked off Dordt University (Iowa) 79.3-75.0 before handling Hastings College (Neb.) 80.45-69.25.
The Fighting Saints scored no lower than 8.0 in five separate categories in both competitions. Those areas were jazz, team turn sequence, degree of difficulty, choreography and performance impression.
The top scores on the day came in both team turn sequence and team turn against Hastings, where head coach
Lily Countryman's group landed an 8.85 out of ten and a 4.70 out of five, respectively. USF also went from an 8.40 to 8.65 in the jazz category from the first to the second performance.
