GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- The University of St. Francis women's bowling team made a name for itself in its inaugural year within the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference as it closed out the 2024-25 regular season by claiming three total awards on the WHAC women's bowling honor roll, which was announced by the league office on Wednesday.  Allison Nape was named to the five-member first team, while Estrella De la Rosa was recognized on the five-member second team.  De la Rosa also represented USF on the WHAC Champions of Character Team.

Nape authored the fifth-best average among all WHAC bowlers during the regular season with her 192.6 reading.  Of the 10 regular-season tournaments that the Saints competed in, the graduate senior finished among the top 10 percent of performers in five of those meets.  She also knocked down 200-plus pins in 10 of her 34 games.

Nape's best finish of the year came at the  56th Annual Columbia 300 Hoosier Classic (Feb. 15), where she placed fourth overall among 409 competitors with a 224.2 average and gained all-tournament accolades.  Her best single-game score for the year came at the same tournament, where she fired a 289.

Nape also earned one WHAC Bowler of the Week award during the 2024-25 regular season.

De la Rosa, meanwhile, placed seventh in the league with her 189.7 average.  She recorded a quartet of top 15 percent efforts and knocked down 200-plus pins in 10-of-39 games. 

The senior's best single-game showing came at the WHAC Jackson Open (Sept. 28), where she totaled 244 pins knocked down.  That eventually led to a sixth-place finish among 127 competitors.

De la Rosa's best overall finish of the year was at the WHAC Michigan Open (Dec. 7), where she posted a 200.7 average over a three-game span.
