CHICAGO HEIGHTS, Ill. --
Marco Horl and
Jedriel Bondoc accounted for all of University of St. Francis' victories at the Prairie State College Harvest Moon Classic over the weekend. Horl got as far as the semifinal round, while Bondoc went 1-1.
Horl gained two wins on Saturday to get to the semifinals, but had to pull out in that round. His wins were 6-4, 6-1 and 6-3, 6-3.
Bondoc opened with a 6-3, 6-0 victory on Saturday only to fall in the quarterfinals by a 6-0, 6-0 score.
Chase Baird was the only other Saint to win a set. He rallied from a 6-1 Set 1 loss to force a third-set tiebreaker with his 6-2 Set 2 win. The freshman eventually fell in the tiebreaker by a 10-5 count.
The tournament closed out the fall campaign for the Fighting Saints.
