LOCKPORT, Ill. --- The University of St. Francis men's tennis team fell to 1-2 on the season after dropping a 7-0 decision to Bethel University (Ind.) on Saturday afternoon.
Bethel (9-8) recorded 6-0 decisions at both Nos. 1 and 2 doubles to earn the first point of the match before handling the Saints in singles play. The Pilots allowed just seven game wins on the singles side.
USF's
Bennet Piotrowski garnered the most success by winning three games in a 6-1, 6-2 loss at No. 2 singles.
Aidan Flores fell 6-1, 6-1 at No. 3 with
John Hejl dropping a 6-2, 6-0 decision at No. 4. The other two matches were straight 6-0, 6-0 wins for Bethel with the Saints defaulting at No. 6.
St. Francis begins Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference play next Saturday hosting Roosevelt University at 4 pm at Challenge Fitness.
