ORLANDO, Fla. ---
Ignacio Hernandez was the only University of St. Francis men's tennis player to come away with a victory Tuesday morning as the Fighting Saints fell to Ursinus College (Pa.) by an 8-1 count.
Hernandez scored his win at No. 2 singles, where he rallied for a 1-6, 6-3, 1-0 (10-1) victory.Â
Two other matches also went beyond the limited six games.Â
Sebastian Bahamondes came up just short 7-5, 6-3 at No. 1 singles, while
John Hejl played to a 6-1, 7-5 match at No. 5.
Ursinus (5-0) won two of the other three singles matches by scores of 6-2, 6-3 and 6-2, 6-1. The Bears won at No. 6 singles as well as No. 3 doubles by default.
In other two doubles matches, Ursinus notched 8-4 and 8-2 victories.
The Saints (2-6) meet Otterbein University on Wednesday.
