JOLIET, Ill. -- Led by
Tyler Anderson's and
Jack Wright's sub-15 minute showings in the 5000-meter run, the University of St. Francis men's outdoor track & field team competed at USF's own Fighting Chance Invite on Friday and Saturday. The meet was the final meet of the 2026 regular season before the NAIA National Championships commence on May 20.
Anderson turned in the 18th overall fastest time of the 114 competitors, while Wright crossed the finish line at No. 21. Anderson ran a 14:57.02 in the event with Wright clocking in at 14:58.90. Also finishing in the Top 30 in the contest was
Scott Crabb. Crabb posted a final time of 15:03.69 for 29th place.
In the 400-meter race,
Stephen Sodipe ran a 52.25, and
Montrell Chapman authored a time of 52.83.

Tyler Anderson will be the lone Saint making the trip to the 74th Annual Men's Outdoor Track & Field National Championships, which will take place on May 20-22 at University of North Carolina-Ashville in Ashville, N.C. The junior will be competing in the 10,000-meter run.
