KANSAS CITY, Mo./CHICAGO -- The University of St. Francis men's track & field program claimed eight spots on the 2026 Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Track & Field All-Academic Team when it was announced on Wednesday. Additionally, four of those named also secured NAIA Scholar-Athlete status.
Capturing the dual honors were
Jack Wright,
Montrell Chapman,
Sebastian Kozy and
Greyson Harrington. Recognized on the CCAC team were
Tyler Anderson,
Alberto Fernandez Arango,
Miguel Garcia and
Damien Dougherty.
Wright gained his first NAIA Scholar-Athlete recognition while securing his second spot on the CCAC All-Academic Team. A junior, Wright is working on his undergraduate degree in Biology.
For the other dual recipients, Chapman, Kozy and Harrington were chosen for both awards for the first time each. Chapman, a junior, is pursuing a degree in Political Science, while Kozy is a sophomore working to complete his Bachelor's degree in Biology. Harrington is a sophomore majoring in Information Technology.
For the league honorees, Anderson and Garcia both received their second recognitions after each also obtained NAIA Scholar-Athlete status one year ago. Fernandez Arango and Dougherty were named to the 89-member league team for the first time.
Anderson is a junior majoring in Accounting & Business Analysis, while Garcia, also a junior, is working on a degree in Psychology, Sophomore Fernandez Arango is a Finance major and Dougherty is a sophomore double majoring in Entrepreneurship and Marketing.
To be nominated for the CCAC award, a student-athlete must have been enrolled at his school for a minimum of one academic year, have completed at least 30 semester hours and boast no less than a 3.25 cumulative grade point average.
In order to receive NAIA Scholar-Athlete status, nominees must be a sophomore or above in academic standing, must have been in attendance at the nominating institution for one full academic year and must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher at the time of the nomination deadline.
