KANSAS CITY, Mo./CHICAGO -- Four members of the University of St. Francis women's tennis team were recognized for their academic prowess on Wednesday afternoon when both the NAIA released its Scholar-Athlete list and the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference announced its All-Academic Team for the 2026 women's tennis season.
Returning to the awards stand were seniors
Anna Bintsarovskaya and
Heather Heintz, who were named to the NAIA and CCAC teams for the third time in their careers. Bintsarovskaya is a Computer Science major, while Heintz is pursuing a career in Mathematics.
Emma Deitz and
Eva Kubilius, meanwhile, secured their respective spots on both the CCAC team for the first time in their collegiate careers. Deitz is a sophomore majoring in Nursing, and Kubilius is also a sophomore working on her undergraduate degree in Biology. Kubilius was also the only player among the 20 individuals dotting the league list to boast a perfect 4.00 cumulative grade point average.
To be nominated for the CCAC award, a student-athlete must have been enrolled at his school for a minimum of one academic year, have completed at least 30 semester hours and boast no less than a 3.25 cumulative grade point average.
In order to receive NAIA Scholar-Athlete status, nominees must be a sophomore or above in academic standing, must have been in attendance at the nominating institution for one full academic year and must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher at the time of the nomination deadline.
