GREEN BAY, Wis. -- The University of St. Francis men's bowling team finds itself in the elimination bracket as one of eight teams out of 16 total at the United States Bowling Congress (USBC) Intercollegiate Team Championships following a first-round loss in bracket play on Thursday.
The Saints opened bracket play as the No. 10 seed after averaging a 185.1 over their 24 Baker games on Thursday morning. USF totaled 4,442 pins knocked down, while Webber International University (Fla.) earned the top spot with its 4,809-pin count.
St. Francis then took on No. 7 seed Lawrence Technological University (Mich.) later in the day which resulted in a 4-1, best-of-seven-series loss.

The Saints will match up against No. 2 seed Savannah College of Art & Design (Ga.) in the elimination bracket with that contest taking place on Friday (April 17) at 7:45 am.
