LANSING, Mich. -- The University of St. Francis women's bowling team's run at the 2026 NAIA National Championships concluded on Friday morning with the No. 12-seeded Fighting Saints dropping a seven-game decision to No. 8 William Penn University (Iowa) resulting in a tie for ninth place in the nation following its 0-1 elimination bracket day at the 2026 NAIA National Championships on Friday at Royal Scot Bowling Center.
After dominating the first game by 84 pins and winning its second game by a slim 187-180 margin, the Statesmen came back to win the next two sets, knotting the score at 2-2. The two teams then traded points in games five and six before William Penn went on to win game seven by a 199-182 pin-count to advance thus ending USF's tournament run which resulted in the completion of the 2025-26 season.
