Saints Place 22nd At Midwest Collegiate Championships

STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. -- Haley Tobiasz placed 62nd out of 266 bowlers to lead the University of St. Francis women's bowling team to a 22nd-place team finish at the 55th Annual Midwest Collegiate Championships on Saturday and Sunday.  A total of 35 teams made up the field.

Tobiasz authored a 173.6 average, knocking down 868 pins over her five individual games on Saturday morning.  Her 203-pin total in the fourth game was her best on the day.

Chloe Greep and Lindsey Prosperi were the only other Saints to finish in the top 50 percent of all competitors.  Greep's two 200-plus games to start Saturday allowed her to average 184.5 for the five games total, good enough for 120th place.  Her top performance was a 221.

Prosperi finished in 133rd place, while averaging a 166.5.

As a team, USF totaled 6,836 pins knocked down between its five team games (4,163) and 16 Baker contests (2,673).

St. Vincent College (Pa.) earned the team title after knocking down a total of 7,957 pins.  Goshen College's (Ind.) Rebekah Muzyk gained the individual crown by averaging a 221.6 over her five games.
