GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- The University of St. Francis women's bowling team continues to make a name for itself in its second year within the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference as it closed out the 2025-26 regular season by claiming three total awards on the WHAC women's bowling honor roll, which was announced by the league office on Friday.
Bryanna Battles and
Katelynn Statz were named to the five-member first team, while Battles also represented USF on the WHAC Champions of Character Team.
Battles authored the second-best average among all WHAC bowlers during the regular season with her 201.7 reading. Of the 10 regular-season tournaments that the Saints competed in, the senior finished among the top 10 percent of performers in four of those meets while registering a Top 10 overall placement in three. She also knocked down 200-plus pins in 12 of her 32 games.
Battle's best finish of the year came at the WHAC Great Lakes Open (Nov. 1), where she placed third overall among 106 competitors with a 199.7 average and gained all-tournament accolades. Her best single-game score for the year came at the WHAC Greater Detroit Open (Jan. 25), where she fired a 231.
Battles was named to two separate All-Tournament Teams during the 2025-26 regular season.
Statz, meanwhile, placed fifth in the league with her 192.2 average. She recorded a quartet of top 10 percent efforts while registering a Top 10 overall placement in three and knocked down 200-plus pins in 16-of-42 games.
The senior's best single-game showing came at the 57th Annual Columbia 300 Hoosier Classic (Feb. 14-15), where she totaled 254 pins knocked down. That eventually led to an 11th-place finish among 418 competitors.
Statz's best overall finish of the year was at the WHAC Great Lakes Open (Nov. 1), where she posted a 207.3 average over a three-game span and gained all-tournament accolades with her second-place finish.
Statz was named to three separate All-Tournament Teams during the 2025-26 regular season.
