ADDISON, Ill. -- Competing in its second tournament thus far of the spring semester, the University of St. Francis women's bowling team competed in the Kegel/ISBPA Midwest Classic on Saturday and Sunday, finishing the weekend with a 20th place finish. A total of 55 teams made up the field of competitors.
USF opened with a total of 4,625 pins knocked down following its five team games on Saturday, which included five 200-plus games. In their 16 total Baker contests on Sunday, the Saints downed 2,826 pins for a combined score that yielded 7,451 pins between the two days.
Mount Mercy University (Iowa) captured the team title with a score of 8,163. Judson University placed second with an 8,032 score, while University of Northwestern Ohio knocked down 7,989 pins to take third.
Among individual performers,
Cassidy Stewart was USF's top bowler, placing 35th overall among 366 participants. She finished her five games with a total of 982 pins knocked down, including two games of matching 207 scores.
Teammate
Katelynn Statz placed 57th overall with a 945 in five games.
Rachel Moore of Culver-Stockton College won the individual title with her 1,111-pin total.
