MARION, Ind. -- Sam Mickelson and Michael Reif each concluded their collegiate careers on a high note by placing amongst the Top 20 performers in the country in their respective events while representing the University of St. Francis' men's track & field team at the 73rd Annual NAIA Men's Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Wednesday night.

Mickelson competed in the 3,000-meter Steeple Chase preliminaries event, recording a time of 9:32.38 in a field of 23 runners.  Needing to register one of the top 14 top times to qualify for the finals on Friday, his 16th place finish was just 3.77 seconds short of the last qualifying spot.

Also competing on Wednesday was Reif in the 10,000-meter run.  He ran a 31:39.38 to secure a 20th place finish.

The performances wrapped up the 2025 season for USF.
