ALLENDALE, Mich. --
Miguel Garcia topped the list of University of St. Francis men's indoor track & field performers at the Grand Valley State University (Mich.) Holiday Open on Friday, placing first overall in his heat and setting a personal record with a time of 14:47.76 in the 5,000-meter race. He was one of seven Saints to place in the Top 15 of their individual events on the day.
All six of USF's other top performances also competed in the 5,000-meter run.
Tyler Anderson (9th place) highlighted the group with his time of 15:07.99, while
Alberto Fernandez Arango (15:22.76 - 13th place),
Scott Crabb 15:24.03 - 14th place) and
Karson Shrum (15:25.93 - 1st place) recorded times within three seconds of each other in their respective heats.
Manuel Soto also authored a PR and crossed the finish line five seconds behind Shrum 15:30.82 - 4th place), while
Tizoc Landeros took credit for a 9th place finish in his heat with a time of 16:24.56.
