GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- Back-to-back third-place individual finishes and two all-tournament team selections in Las Vegas combined with a team tournament championship has earned University of St. Francis' Jalen Pfaff the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference Men's Bowler of the Week honors for the seven-day period ending December 21, it was announced by the league office late Monday.  The honor is USF's first recognition of the 2025-26 season and the third of Pfaff's career.

Pfaff captured his first all-tournament team honor after finishing third among a field of 364 competitors at the Glenn Carlson Las Vegas Invitational.  He knocked down a total of 1,834 pins over the eight-game stretch on Thursday and Friday to record his 229.3 average.  The La Grange Park, Ill. product posted 200-plus scores in all but one of his games with highs of 276 and 253 in his final two efforts of the day in leading the Fighting Saints' squad to a 3rd-place team finish amongst 61 teams at the tournament.

If that wasn't impressive enough, Pfaff represented USF again as one of the top three bowlers out of the 478 that competed at the Las Vegas Collegiate Shoot-Out Invitational on Saturday and Sunday.  He placed 3rd overall finishing just seven pins shy of first place with 1,185 pins knocked down in five games for a 237.0 average.  The senior carried a perfect game from the 11th frame in Game 1 and later finished with a season-best 295 before authoring four more 200-plus games in the tournament.  USF finished fourth overall as a team in the qualifying round, before claiming the tournament championship in bracket play with a 64-pin advantage over Newman University (Kan.).

The two all-tournament team nods are part of a current four-tournament streak this season for Pfaff, who previously accomplished the feat at the Michigan Open on December 6 as well as the Leatherneck Classic on November 9.
