UPLAND, Ind. -- University of St. Francis' Carl Bew secured his third conference recognition on Monday when the redshirt sophomore repeated as the Mid-States Football Association Midwest League Special Teams Player of the Week for the seven-day period ending Nov. 9 after claiming the same honor just one week ago.  Monday marks the third time Bew has received the award this season.

On Saturday, Bew totaled 141 yards (42.0 avg) on kickoff returns in USF's 42-24 defeat to No. 22-ranked University of Saint Francis (Ind.).  One of his three kickoff returns was a 97-yard touchdown, which came just one week after he accomplished the same exact feat against No.7-ranked Marian University (Ind.) on Nov. 1.  Bew also carried the ball 14 times for 83 yards with one rushing touchdown and had one reception for 17 yards.  In total, he amassed 241 all-purpose yards and accounted for two touchdowns on the day, while also completing two passes for 42 yards.

The Saints (3-6) take Bew's performance into their final MSFA date with Olivet Nazarene University, when they travel to Bourbonnais, Ill. this coming Saturday (Nov. 15).  Kickoff is set for 12 pm.
