NORTH NEWTON, Kan. --- Day Two of the Bethel College (Kan.) Thresher Invitational saw the University of St. Francis women's dance team place fifth and seventh in separate competitions on Saturday.
In the early afternoon invitational, the Saints improved on their score from one day earlier with a 78.33. That placed them fifth among ten teams competing.
Claiming the meet title was Oklahoma City University as the only team to record a team score in the 90's. The Stars registered a 91.03.
The next three spots went to Baker University, Kan. (88.77), St. Ambrose University (85.03) and Midland University, Neb. (84.9).
In the final competition of the weekend, USF placed seventh among nine squads by earning a score of 76.03.
Capturing that invitational was St. Ambrose for the second time in as many days with its score of 90.43. Oklahoma City edged out Baker for second place, 89.87-89.13.
USF is back in action next Sunday when it heads to Adrian, Mich. to compete in the Siena Heights University (Mich.) Saints Spectacular.
