DES MOINES, Iowa -- The University of St. Francis competitive dance team continued its 2026 season with two competitions on Sunday at the Viking Challenge hosted by Grand View University (Iowa).

The Fighting Saints posted their best numbers in the second competition, where they finished in fourth place against nine teams at 88.04.  St. Ambrose University (Iowa) managed a score of 98.41 to claim the first-place position, matching their first-place finish earlier in the day in the opening competition with a 97.58.  In the first competition, St. Francis registered an 86.58 for a fourth-place finish against nine total teams.

The Saints take the floor again on Saturday (February 21) when they travel to Columbia, Mo. to compete in the Columbia College Cougar Classic.
