JOLIET, Ill. --- The University of St. Francis competitive dance team extended its streak of registering scores of 80 or higher to three competitions in a row with a pair on Saturday afternoon at its own St. Francis Invitationals. Both events took place at the Sullivan Center.
The Saints scored an 83.7 in the first round to edge out Saint Xavier University, which scored a 79.1.
In the second competition, head coach
Lily Countryman's squad posted a season-best 84.7 score, while Saint Xavier totaled an 80.0.
Notes: Following the two invitationals, St. Francis recognized its two seniors,
Hannah Bolden and
Katarina Welsh … The Saints compete in the NAIA Regional Qualifier on Friday on the campus of Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, Mich.
