ANGOLA, Ind. --- The University of St. Francis men's indoor track & field team opened up the second semester by totaling 14 points and claiming a 13th-place finish at the Trine University (Ind.) Sean Brady Invitational on Saturday.
Darius Brown earned USF's top finish on the day by placing fourth in the 600-meter run. He ran a time of 1:26.03.
In the 800-meter event,
Pedro Ocampo gained three points for the Saints with his sixth-place finish and time of 2:03.18.
St. Francis also had two finishers among the top nine in the 3,000-meter race. Teammates
Timothy Wade and
Scott Crabb placed eighth and ninth, respectively, with Wade edging out Crabb, 9:13.47-9:13.88.
USF's final points came from
Adrien Manning, who placed ninth in the 200-meter dash, crossing the finish line in 23.06 seconds.
Marian University (Ind.) captured the meet title with 195 points.
The Saints return to action on Friday when they compete in the North Central College Snow Day Invitational.
