MILWAUKEE, Wis. ---
Kaizer Giddie and
Kenny Brown each placed among the top two performers in a pair of events at the Wisconsin Lutheran College Warrior Invitational on Thursday to lead the University of St. Francis men's outdoor track & field team to a ninth place finish at the 20 team meet.
NCAA I University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee totaled 114 points to win the meet. The Saints finished with 31 points.
Giddie notched USF's best effort of the day when he won the 200 meter dash finishing just ahead of Brown in a field of 65 runners. Giddie came in at 22.33 seconds with Brown at 22.49.
The pair then worked together, along with
Elihu Young and
Moses Biosah, in authoring the second best time in the 4x100 meter relay event at 42.99 seconds. A total of nine teams competed in the race.
USF's other two scorers were
Jalen Brown and
Kendall Burrow. Brown was fourth among 47 individuals in the 100-meter dash, sprinting in at 11.11 seconds. Burrow was eighth of 46 in the hammer throw with his distance of 145 feet, 5 inches.
