Omar Paramo played a role in all 11 points scored by the University of St. Francis men's track & field team at the 2022 NAIA Indoor Championships on Saturday at the Sanford-Jackrabbit Athletic Complex. The senior also claimed a pair of NAIA All America medals with his performances.
Paramo's first points came in the 3,000 meter race, where he finished fourth with a time of 8:21.51. Teammate
Caleb Bolus just missed out in joining Paramo on the awards stand by one place. He finished in 8:36.02 to place ninth.
Paramo then teamed with
Pedro Ocampo,
Daasebre Appah-Dankyi, and
Jordan Freese to place third in the distance medley relay late Saturday afternoon. They just missed finishing in under ten minutes with their mark of 10:00.21.
The 11 points earned by the Saints allowed them to finish in a tie for 30th place out of the 64 teams that scored in the championships. Oklahoma City University claimed the team title, edging out Indiana Institute of Technology 62-59.
