CHICAGO -- University of St. Francis'
Logan LaFrance collected his second Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference men's soccer weekly award of the young season, when the league office announced its winners for the seven-day period ending Sept. 6 on Tuesday.
LaFrance garnered the defensive accolades for the second time in three weeks courtesy of his first collegiate shutout on Saturday night. In a 1-0 victory over Aquinas College (Mich.), the freshman stopped a season-high 12 shots, highlighted by a game-winning save on a penalty kick denial with just over two minutes remaining in the contest.
The match was the only one on the week for the Saints, who are 1-1-2 on the season.
