CHICAGO -- Authoring one of the Top 10 performances in University of St. Francis history,
Tyler Anderson has garnered Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week award honors for the seven-day period ending Sept. 20, the league office announced on Wednesday morning.
Competing at the prestigious University of Notre Dame National Catholic Invite on Friday, Anderson finished 18th among 203 total runners in a field made up of seven NCAA I teams, two from NCAA II, three NCAA squads and four NAIA institutions.
The senior's time of 24:41.2 in the 8K race placed him ninth all-time in the USF record books and helped the NAIA No. 24-ranked Saints upset No. 12 Madonna University (Mich.) and finish sixth among 16 teams.
