CHICAGO -- Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference women's soccer weekly honors were swept up by University of St. Francis following the play of Sofia Velazquez (Chicago, Ill.) and Giselle Mata (Carpentersville, Ill.) during the seven-day period ending Aug. 30, the league office announced on Tuesday.

Velazquez, the CCAC Offensive Player of the Week, tallied one goal in each of USF's two wins last week.  Both goals came in her only shot attempts of each contest.

The sophomore midfielder/forward registered the second goal of a 2-0 win over University of Saint Francis (Ind.) on Wednesday.  That was followed by the first goal in a 2-1 nod over St. Ambrose University on Saturday.

Mata garnered the defensive accolades after stopping 15 shots during the week and permitted just the one goal.  She also authored her first shutout of the campaign.

The clean sheet came in the win over Saint Francis (Ind.), where she totaled four saves.  On Saturday, she stopped 11 shots and allowed one late goal in the victory opposite St. Ambrose.

St. Francis is now 2-1 on the season.
