GREENWOOD, Ind. -- Four members of the University of St. Francis baseball program have been recognized for both their academic and athletic performances this past spring with the announcement of the 2026 College Sports Communicators (CSC) NAIA Academic All-District Team. Those gaining the recognition were
Quinn McGuire and
Cody Nold, both of whom graduated last month, as well as graduate senior
Jacob Jurka and sophomore

The award recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. To be eligible, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore both athletically and academically and boast no less than a 3.50 cumulative grade point average, while performing at an elite athletic level. Academic All-District honorees are considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America ballot.

He recorded a career ERA of 5.26 in 138.2 innings pitched. Throughout his five-year career, McGuire has collected six wins and struck out a total of 65 opposing hitters.
McGuire, who previously earned his undergraduate degree at USF in Finance one year ago and graduated last month with his Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA), was also a four-time academic honoree at both the NAIA and CCAC levels. He earned Dean's List accolades in all ten semesters.
Nold, a first-time All-District recipient, produced a solid season as a Saint in 2026. Those statistics included a 1-1 record on the mound with one start in 17 appearances. He produced an ERA of 5.82 giving up 11 earned runs in 17.0 Innings pitched with 11 strikeouts against nine walks.
Earning his third NAIA Scholar-Athlete and CCAC All-Academic honors this spring, Nold appeared in 37 games for the Saints with two starts in his four-year career. Graduating with his Bachelor's degree in Criminal & Social Justice earlier this month, Nold also earned Dean's List commendations in four of his eight semesters at St. Francis.
Rounding out the list of honorees and joining Nold in receiving his first All-District honors is Munson. The sophomore outfielder saw action in 40 of 51 games for the Saints in 2026 and made 35 starts. Producing a .330 batting average at the plate, he connected for 33 hits and scored 17 runs while coaxing 26 walks.
Currently working on his Bachelor's degree in Communication & Media Arts, Munson is also a first-time academic honoree at both the NAIA and CCAC levels. He has been named to the Dean's list in all four of his semesters thus far at USF.
USF went 21-30 overall and 17-15 in conference play this spring to finish in fifth place among the league's nine teams.
