JOLIET, Ill. -- Judson University powered up for two home runs and four extra base hits against the University of St. Francis baseball team on Wednesday afternoon to a score an 11-0 mercy rule victory to open the 2026 Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Baseball Tournament.
The Eagles (32-19) totaled eight hits on the day and authored two home runs while scoring at least one run in four of its six at-bats in the seven-inning shortened contest. Kevin Flores (3-for-4, 3 RBI) provided one of the home runs, Ryan Pitzer (1-for-3, 2 RBI) had the other and Matt Armstrong (1-for-3, 3 RBI) tripled once. The trio accounted for eight of Judson's runs on the day.

Ethan Fleming as part of the senior's 2-for-3 showing at the plate.Â

Judson built a 5-0 lead throughout the first four innings via a first-inning fielder's choice followed by Flores' three-run homerun in the fourth, before doubling that score up after the visitors fell a double short of the cycle in the fifth that resulted in another five Eagle runs crossing the plate.
An 0-for-8 blemish with runners in scoring position over the duration of the contest led to the Saints fifth shutout loss of the season.
Judson's Own Wanner (7-2) was credited with the win on the mound with his complete game shutout.
Jack Otis shouldered the loss for the Saints, dropping his season record to 5-5 on the year.
